簡介:
A unique blend that can be summarised with one equation: 60/40/10.
- 60: the number of crus in a blend that is precise, stringent and tailor-made.One third of each varietal are vinified cru by cru, varietal by varietal, in stainless steel vats.
- 40: a high proportion of 40% reserve wines to ensure the complexity and indulgence of the Brut Réserve.
- 10: an average age of 10 years for the reserve wines, extraordinary for Champagne. Taken from the best crus from the best years, the wines placed in reserve are kept for between 5 to15 years, if not more to develop their aromatic range.
The Rosé Réserve has been added 5 to 6% of red Champagne wines from Les Riceys, the crown jewel of the côte des Bars, a terroir selected for the great Pinots Noirs to provide tannins and aromas of red fruits.
To ensure an ideal balance of freshness and elegance, structure and complexity, the Cellar Master select reserve wines that are younger than those of the Brut Réserve, aged 5 years on average.
Each of the wines are vinified cru by cru, varietal by varietal. Aging for more than 3 years in the rare 2000 years age-old chalk cellars.
A distinct aromatic profile. A year with good acidity presents excellent cellaring potential.
The 2006 harvest was optimal with regard to both quantity and quality. The grapes proved to be riper with slightly less acidity than in 2005, with an average potential of 10.1 g/l as compared to 9.6 g/l the previous year. The chardonnays seemed relatively exclusive initially but soon unveiled rich complex aromas. The pinot noirs stood out for their lushness and quickly offered notes of red fruit.
