Exceptional old vine fruits are sourced from the famed Ebenezer sub district at the northern tip of the Barossa Valley.
Glaetzer Wallace takes on the traditional Barossa Valley blend of Shiraz and Grenache in a modern way. Vine age 50-80 years old (Shiraz) and 50-110 years old (Grenache).
An enticing nose of dark plum, raspberry and lavender with hints of anise and ground spice. Black fruits prevail with touches of pepper and blackcurrant. Firm, savoury yet rounded tannins balance with brightness and lift.
Glaetzer Bishop is a true expression of Barossa Shiraz that is elegantly structured with a long finish. Bishop is the family name of Colin's wife Judith. Fittingly the sign of Venus, a symbol which has come to represent women and feminine energy, is the centrepiece of the Bishop label.
Vine age 35-120 years old. Yield 3 tonnes per hectare.
Layers of violets and cloves on the nose with hints of mulberry and dark chocolate. Purity of dark fruits and cut plums on the palate with firm, savoury tannins, impressive depth and harmony.
Peak Drinking : great drinking now but this wine will also benefit from 10 – 12 years of careful cellaring.
The name Anaperenna has been inspired by Anna Perenna, the Roman goddess of the New Year. Anna Perenna symbolises the year's cycle and her name translates as 'enduring year'.
Vine age 30-100 years old (Shiraz) and 30-130 years old (Cabernet). Yield 2.5 tonnes per hectare.
Lovely herbal lift with notes of blackberry, anise and spice box. Layered spice complements deep, dark fruit elements. Supple tannins contribute to palate length with well integrated seamless acidity.
In Egyptian mythology, Amon-Ra is considered to be the king of all gods. The temple of Amon-Ra was believed to be the first temple to ever plant a monoculture vineyard to produce wine for the citizens of the temple. Vine age 50-130 years old. Yield 2 tonnes per hectare.
Highly perfumed with dried spice, espresso, plum and blackberry on the nose. Awesome balance with tremendous depth on the palate.
