Tenuta Fertuna – Toscana IGT Messiio 2004 （１支）
Brunello Di Montalcino Poggio Antico 2009（１支）
12 months in French oak plus 6 months bottle aging, result in a ripe wine, showing lots of plum and berry character, with hints of cream. Full-bodied, with soft, round tannins and a long finish that's fresh and clean. Best after 2011. 1,250 cases made.
Deep and intense ruby red. A clean nose with hints of blackberry, vanilla and liquorice. The taste is round and concentrated, with great vitality, yet elegant and harmonious, thanks to the particularly sweet tannins. Very long finish and extremely well balanced. Ready to drink now but with wonderful aging potential.
The winery is in the heart of Maremma Toscana, along the sea between Toscana and Lazio, among green hills of wild nature that create endless light spaces towards the Tyrrhenian Sea. The place is simple and isolated. All vineyards are endowed with a drop by drop irrigation system, nourished by a big artificial lake of about 15,000 sqm, that collects its waters from local sources.
Located at an average altitude of approximately 450 meters (1,476 feet) above sea level, is one of the highest altitude producers of Brunello.
