Drew Fog-Eater Pinot Noir 2014 (1支)
The 2014 Pinot Noir Fog-Eater is one of the more delicate, perfumed wines in the lineup. The flavors are bright, focused and nuanced throughout. Crushed flowers, mint, earthiness and savory herbs add further shades of dimension. Drink this sensual, gracious Pinot from the deep end of Anderson Valley over the next handful of years.
Fog-eater is a regional term used by the early settlers of Anderson Valley. This wine brings together several lots from Balo and Filigreen vineyards. Clones 777, 667, 115 and Pommard. 15% whole cluster. Feral fermentation. Aged in 16% new French oak barrels.
Jason and Molly Drew started Drew 18 years ago with a clear goal in mind: to craft small lot coastal wines that express site specificity and traditional varietal character.
Drew continues to focus on small lot coastal Pinot Noir and Syrah from both Anderson Valley and the Mendocino Ridge. They continue their long standing partnerships with several local vineyard growers who share their passion for sustainable and meticulous farming practices.
